Emily Hayes is an earthy jazz, blues and country vocalist with a special repertoire of songs.

Her influences are as wide and diverse as her music programs. Artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee, Mildred Bailey, Patsy Cline, Bessie Smith, Linda Ronstadt, Janis Joplin and Maria McKee have influenced her style.

Raised in New England, Emily went on to work in London, UK, for several years, performing at supper clubs with leading early jazz pianists in the area, including Fergus Read, Colin Good (of Roxy Music) and Keith Nichols. Since 2005, she has been based in the  US Bay Area , singing as part of bands and leading her own jazz groups, including a trio featuring local greats Mark Holzinger (Lost Weekend, Western Swing Hall of Fame) on guitar and Tom Martin on bass.

Among other acts, she is a former lead vocalist of The Cottontails (early jazz and blues featuring Ralph Carney on horns) and the Country Casanovas (classic country/rock), including performances at private wedding and winery events.
